Moving Up to 2nd Assistant Director
Moving Up to a 2nd Assistant Director
Free two-week training course to introduce you to the role of 2nd Assistant Director.
Moving Up to 2nd Assistant Director (2nd AD) is a free Skills Bootcamp supported by Sky Studios Elstree. The training will develop learners’ existing knowledge and skills to prepare them for 2nd AD work opportunities. All training is delivered by industry practitioners who are active in their fields.
Training takes place over two weeks face-to-face at our training centre in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. We are a five-minute walk from Chesham tube station on the Metropolitan line.
Each learner benefits from our continuing support and mentorship throughout and beyond the programme. As a part of the Skills Bootcamp, participants will experience an exclusive tour of Sky Studios Elstree, a talk from their Head of Operations, and the opportunity to join their talent pool.
Following completion of the Skills Bootcamp, participants join our own talent pool, All Spring Talent, where they will get regular job alerts with exciting external career opportunities. Alumni can access employment support from our dedicated Talent Manager through one-to-one catch-ups, CV guidance and interview practice.
Moving Up to 2nd AD is funded through the Department of Education and is managed by Hertfordshire’s Local Enterprise Partnership. To see their full list of Skills Bootcamps, refer to the Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal: https://www.hopinto.co.uk/skills-bootcamps/
