BECOMING A 3RD AD SKILLS BOOTCAMP
Free two-week training course to introduce you to the role of 3rd Assistant Director.
This Skills Bootcamp is the perfect opportunity for those with some experience as a Set PA or Runner who are ready to take the next step and move into the exciting world of Assistant Director. This training programme provides an in-depth introduction to the vital role of a 3rd Assistant Director, giving you the skills and confidence to take on leadership responsibilities.
This free training takes place over two weeks face-to-face at Farnborough International Studios.
Becoming a 3rd AD is fully funded by the UK government and is managed by Hampshire Council, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their careers in the film and TV industry.
The course covers the key aspects of what they need to know including
- key regulations,
- communications on set,
- working with Supporting Artists,
- sustainable production
- managing a freelance career

Following completion of the Skills Bootcamp, participants join our own talent pool, All Spring Talent, where they will get regular job alerts with exciting external career opportunities. Alumni can access employment support from our dedicated Talent Manager through one-to-one catch-ups, CV guidance and interview practice.

ELIGIBILITY
– 12 months industry experience, preferably in scripted
– Aged 19 years old and over
– Right to Work and Live in the UK
– Not in education, funded training or enrolled on another Skills Bootcamp
