VFX Production Coordinator Skills Bootcamp
All Spring Media is collaborating with Pinewood Studios to deliver the VFX Coordinator Skills Bootcamp.
Working to the VFX Production Manager or VFX Producer, the VFX Coordinator supports and delivers the operational elements of productions in film, tv, commercials, post production, animation and VFX. This bootcamp offers the opportunity for people who are interested in the more complex aspects of production to utilise existing coordination skills whilst also helping people develop their logistics, finance, personnel, equipment and/or software knowledge.
The VFX Coordinator Skills Bootcamp is funded through the Department of Education and is managed by Buckinghamshire council, Buckinghamshire Business First and Bucks Skills Hub.
UPCOMING TRAINING DATES
January 2025 – dates TBC.
ELIGIBILITY
– Aged 19 years old or over
– Right to Work and Live in the UK
– Not in education, funded training, or enrolled on a Skills Bootcamp
– Previous experience as VFX runner or Production Assistant, non-essential but with transferrable skills.

TRAINING COVERED
– The importance of post-production within the end-to-end production process including requirements of the post-production schedule.
– The workflow of computer-generated based projects.
– How to utilise relevant database and scheduling software/tools to communicate information to others.
– The editorial process and how to manage activities such as client turnover, ingest, client review, finishing or and/or deliverables.
– The common file formats and resolutions used in the production process.
– Compliance with legal requirements associated with safety, copyright and IP etc.
– Interpersonal skills as first point of contact with clients.
– Managing the delivery process of materials to clients or external companies including negotiating delivery dates and format requirements.
– Managing parallel productions and time management to ensure priorities are met and business outcomes achieved.
