Madeline Ferguson

Madeline started her career in HR at the BBC, where she gained an IPM2 (CIPD) on a work-sponsored scheme. She specialised in Recruitment for several years before moving into Production. She worked as a Production Manager and then Unit Manager on Live Events, such as Trooping the Colour, D-Day Commemorations, and other state occasions. In 1997 she moved into BBC Sport as a Unit Manager and latterly a Talent and Training Manager, where she remained for 16 years. She talent-managed production staff, including Producers, Production Coordinators and Apprentices working on, Match of the Day, Wimbledon and the Olympics, amongst other sports coverage.

Leaving the BBC in 2012, she took up a position as an Apprenticeship Assessor at Westminster Kingsway College, assessing Apprentices on the BBC and ITV Apprenticeship schemes. During this time, she acquired her CAVA qualification. She returned to the BBC in 2013, where she developed a Level 4 Apprentice in Production Management.

Latterly Madeline worked as a Pre-Employment Scheme Manager for the BBC, partnering with Training Providers such as MAMA Youth and Creative Access and developing two mentoring programmes for the BBC.
