Training description

Working to the Production Manager or Producer, the Production Coordinator supports and delivers the operational elements of productions in film, tv, commercials, post production, animation and VFX. This bootcamp offers the opportunity for people who are interested in the more complex aspects of production to utilise existing coordination skills whilst also helping people develop their logistics, finance, personnel, equipment and/or software knowledge.

The Production Coordinator Skills Bootcamp is a face to face training and is funded through the Department of Education and is managed by Buckinghamshire council, Buckinghamshire Business First and Bucks Skills Hub.

Training covered

  • The importance of post-production within the end-to-end production process including requirements of the post-production schedule.
  • The workflow of computer-generated based projects.
  • How to utilise relevant database and scheduling software/tools to communicate information to others.
  • The editorial process and how to manage activities such as client turnover, ingest, client review, finishing or and/or deliverables.
  • The common file formats and resolutions used in the production process.
  • Compliance with legal requirements associated with safety, copyright and IP etc.
  • Interpersonal skills as first point of contact with clients.
  • Managing the delivery process of materials to clients or external companies including negotiating delivery dates and format requirements.

Eligibility

  • Aged 19 years old and over
  • Right to Work and Live in the UK for the past three years
  • Not in education, funded training or enrolled on another Skills Bootcamp
  • Previous experience as a Production Secretary or Production Assistant Coordinator in Film and HETV, or with transferrable skills who wants to move into production for Film and HETV.
